INTRODUCTION:
  1. Consequences are the end results of previous actions done or said. Consequences do not always happen immediately after an action. But you can be sure that all actions have consequences…. Consequences will happen.
  2. Consequences are END RESULTS but consequences ARE NOT THE END….
  3. In the middle of despair and defeat, especially when our despair and defeat are the consequences of our own actions, we must remember that God still loves us and will bring us through our adversity to restoration.
THE LESSON:

    1. Just because you did not obey God doesn’t mean that you do not know Him. – v. 21
    2. All the Italians had to do was read the Bible…they did not need Christopher Columbus to prove to them that the world was round – v.22a
    3. It is the permissive will of God that allows those in power to remain in power for any length of time. – vvs. 23, 24
  2. THE ULTIMATE AUTHORITY – Isaiah 40:25-27
    1. Things not going your way? Evil seems to be advancing over the good? Prayers not getting answered as quickly as you think they should? Not satisfied with the answers God is giving you? Remember, God is greater than anything He created or made that is worshipped! Jehovah..YAWEH… Elohim… El Shaddai is in charge and is the Authority.
  3. THE ULTIMATE SOURCE OF STRENGTH – Isaiah 40:28-31
